New Friend

A new friend has come to live with me..........

                                      and her name is.........Annie...........she loves boxes that are tooooooooo small!!

She is a rescue cat from a shelter and she is 5 years old........so cute....she's not still for very long so its been difficult to take any good pics..........

but I'll keep trying........she purrs and is very friendly...........we will keep each other warm all winter!!

Help....

I know this is crazy to ask for assistance on my blog........but, I am desperate!!!

It's computer trouble...........I have Windows 7 on an Intel computer.......I am trying to resize photos on Windows Live Photo Gallery.  I mistakenly took 150 photos on a large pixel size and need to resize them to fit on my website.  Help me!!!

My book tells me to click on the photo, hit Edit at the top bar and click on 'resize'.  Or, right click on the photo and choose 'resize'.  The problem is there is NO 'resize button.......

I can use the Paint program but then have to do 150 photos in an involved process.  I have searched all  problems for this on......Ask, Google, Bing and many others, none address this problem....what do I do???

Falling...

Hello again, yes, I'm still here and did not fall off the face of the earth, as many of you wondered!!!  It's been a trying 3 months for me, but am now starting to get myself back together........and it's FALL !!!  Praise God!!

You know I am not a fan of summer heat and am thankful for cool days and crisp evenings.  I was finally inspired to do some decorating......I know you've seen the same things here for a long time, but I keep re using what I have and being frugal!!  Here's some snaps of what has been done so far....

The dining room cabinet got refreshed.....and boy, I see it needs some refinishing!!  I love the Fall colors with my blues......

Little cherry hutch is the same with the added florals for the season.....

 

 

Even the hallway got some Fall on.....

and the kitchen window ledge welcomes Fall too........notice the beer glass, that's my home town here in NY.....my sister managed to get a glass for each of us......love it!!!!

The pine dresser is much the same except for the new runner I sewed from linen toweling bought by the yard.

And finally the dining room........you recognize the buffet??  It's the same and I love it!!

 

I just found that little stitchery piece I made while pregnant with my son.........34 years ago......wow!!!

 

That's it for now on the home decor!!  Am getting some table settings ready, and you'll see them soon.

Summertime Blues

I love having my blue collection around me, esp. in the summer.....its cool and quiet, a respite from the glaring sun and heat.  No, I am not a summer person, prefer Fall and Winter.  Actually, I think I have a disorder......like people have SAD in the Winter months, well, I have that in the Summer months!!!  Does that make sense to you???  Any way, I am trying to climb out of this pit of despair........too much info???  Okay, on to the changes in the living room.......

Did I ever show you my picture collection???  This is only part of it, it gets changed around every now and then.  Many pieces I've had since a child, the tiny ones from my doll house!!

The little apple one is a gift from my sister when she went to Ireland......

One of the first quilts I ever made, love it out for the summer, good for when the AC gets too chilly!!!

 

That's it for now, am trying to get things in order around here...........how do things get so messy when I live alone????
