Going green tip

Blue canning jars are making a come back, so I dug around in the basement to find a box of them packed away since the 70's!!!  They were once lined up on my kitchen counters with all kinds of goodies in them.  These two are holding plastic and metal bottle caps and jar lids.    Why you ask???  Since they are disposable anyway, I use them to hold paint for projects instead of using palette paper~~ sometimes you just need a dab of something and these fit the bill, then just toss them out!!!
This paint project, which is still not completed~~~~~was done on my sewing table, which I never use for painting, but was easier to use this time.

I also use the caps when I need a small amount of glue, or varnish or fixative~~~~and feels good to re-use something!!!

I'm hooked on these canning jars too! Started yet another collection. Great idea for the bottle caps.

hey Cleo, that is a super idea on the bottle caps! I usually use a paper plate and I usually run out of space on the plate if I use a lot of colors...not that I am a talented painter LOL...:(

I meant to ask you in your last post if you painted the sign....wow! I see that you did. You're an artistic jack of all trades!

Oh, how great you had these olden blue canning jars! You're so smart to use the little bottle caps for your painting projects. Your work looks so pretty too!

Cleo,

Thanks for stopping by. Yes the cloche, dish, and the flower all came together. They had a glass cloche, fairly large, that I hope is still there when they open on Tuesday. I should have gotten it when I was there, but didn't. Can't get it out of my mind. So.... you know what that means....means I'm supposed to have it, right? :)

Yes, I did change my blog template. I really like this one.

Hope you have a great week!

Blessings,
Kathy
