April Snow

No pics for you today, ran out of batteries!!!  We had about 2 inches of wet white stuff last night, just enough to make a big mess and to lose power!!!  Power went off about 5 in the am.....to return around noon, however.....no phone service till about 2 this afternoon!!!  The smoke/fire alarms were chirping and one went off, which scared me to pieces and then I couldn't turn it off......so I climbed my handy stool and ended ripping it out of the ceiling........what a PITA !!!  Now that will have to be repaired along with the other one I ripped out of the ceiling on the last power outage!!!

South of us near my home town got 10 inches of snow....is that crazy or what???

Very difficult without power, no coffee, no clocks, no TV or radio, no toast, no laundry, no ironing, no sewing machine, no hot glue gun, no computer, no phone.......started to do some cross stitch but it was too dark to see very well and then got too cold to do anything........so went back to bed, no electric blanket, but had two cats to keep me warm!!!  Hope everyone affected has their power back on by now, this was not a fun time.....but at least we were safe.......

Here's to a better tomorrow!!!!

I heard about this crazy snow. I think Syracuse schools were on a 2 hour delay! In April! What is up with this weather anyway? It was 82 degrees on Friday and now it's cold enough to snow.
They have been forecasting snow for us overnight, boy do I hope they're wrong!
I'm glad you got your power back. Stay warm & hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!

I cam feel for you I live in northern N.Y. One year we had a microburst which took down all telephone poles all along the river for miles. Then another time we had an ice storm . It was 13 days before we got electric. along the river we just got a little snow but now its raining and cold.Glad things are back to normal.

Hi Cleo, I thought about you and wondered if you were getting any snow. It is crazy weather. We had frost today and just barely got into the 60's. but guess what we are suppose to be in the low 80's tomorrow and maybe 89 on Wednesday. The air will be back on for sure.
I can relate when we have no electricity. Hope tomorrow is a great day for you. Have a great day. Hugs Your Missouri Friend.

It's been NUTS! One day it's 80 degrees, the next day it's freezing. I never know what to dress the kids in for school and get changed myself 3-4 times a day!

Ugh, no electricity. Hope it's up and running for you now. We lose power very often here and it's maddening!

Hi Cleo! My hubby mentioned your weird snow storm this evening! His parents live in Pa. Sorry about the loss of electricity. I hope you are staying warm and your week warms up quickly too. :)

So glad your eletric is back on. This crazy weather! One day we're ready for the air conditioner, the next the heater!

My Mother in law sent me Diamonds info in an email, just had to pass it on!

Take care and go have a big snowball fight!! LOL

Oh I hate those kind of snow storms. When we lived in Oregon we use to lose our power all the time when it snowed. Thank goodness we had a fire place and an old fashioned wood stove that had a 2 burner top. I use to make coffee on it. Glad the power is back on and things are back to normal. Hopefully this is the last storm of the season.

Thanks for the suggestion to use linen or burlap and trim a sham with the plaid. Great idea. Hopefully I can get to sewing next week. Hugs, Marty

Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment about my Kodak dresser.
I love how that dresser turned out and I enjoy telling people that is the real address too, just like you pointed out.

Wow...what a Spring day you had. Glad that you're up and running again....and those kitty cats sound like they were a real blessing....I'll bet that they were grateful for you, too. Cherry Kay

Hi Cleo, have things gotten better for you?

Thanks for stopping by and visiting. Your words brought tears to my eyes. It is amazing to think God had planned for me to do these religious statues all along, and I didn't even know it! I should have a good supply for Father Cahill by the time we visit him. I also hope to make some things for Etsy and maybe even a give-away. So many ideas, but time just keeps flying by.

HI Cleo! Good luck with getting things ready for your garage sale! It's a lot of work having a garage sale.
I'm glad you fell the same as me about joining all of the parties. I love them but I was putting pressure on myself making sure I linked up to so many.
Happy Memorial day,

I forgot to mention that is what I started doing yesterday...one bit at a time. When I get tired or achy I come in for a break, rest then head back out to the garden.

Thanks for the compliments, much appreciated. ♥
