Snippets of Christmas

Finally took some pics of my Christmas decor around the house!!!  I brought out the decorations around TG week and was so busy with the craft show, no time to take pics.  My decorations remain the same as in previous years, they are all my favorite things and I love seeing them over and over again!!!  No need to buy anything new as I don't have deep pockets like so many out there in blog land.  And   Christmas is filled with memories for me, everything I have has special meaning to me and that's how I decorate my home, not with the latest fads.

The only thing I am upset with is that I can't find my manger set!!!  It was my mother's and is chalkware from the 1930's or so........I was so organized last year and put everything away in new boxes.......it remains a mystery!!!

We'll start in the living room.....

Some of my favorite folk art....

Now on to the dining room, lotsa places to decorate in here!!!

I love floral arranging and it gives me the most satisfaction.......the shiney brights are my mom's and my grandma's.......

Most precious chalkware lamb, a gift from my niece..........

I love the red, raspberry and pink colors together............will close for now, post is getting too long!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!!!!

Oooh, I just love all of your pretty decorations!... and I love that you decorate with pieces you cherish and that carry special memories for you... I am the very same way... my decorations don't change much year to year either... and that's just the way I like it... my pockets are certainly not full of money, and that is not what Christmas is all about to me either... some of the homes I see on blogs and magazines, etc. are so "not real" looking to me... yours says welcome... and cozy... and comfy... and sit and sip some hot chocolate and chat... that little hedgehog is adorable!... and so is your lamb from your niece... loved seeing all of your treasured ornaments... I hope you find your manger set... xoxo Julie Marie

Beautiful décor, Cleo! You have a way of putting things together & adding details unexpectedly that I love.

I hope you find your nativity set. I don't know your religious beliefs but my Mom always says a prayer to St. Anthony when she loses something. He always comes through for her.
