Happy New Year!!!

Best wishes to all for a wonderful year filled with blessings of all kinds!!!

I see most people are posting their best or top 10 posts from the past year........I don't think I even had that many!!!  And didn't want to do a review, so on to the new stuff......

My sweet cherry hutch was calling for something calm and restful for the New Year.....since we are in the midst of a huge snow storm......some peace was called for!!  Out came my favorite brown pieces, which you have all seen before, so nothing new here..........however, these things please me.......and I really like looking at them!!

I also used some of my mom's pretty crochet work..........

Still keeping a bowl full of ornies out........not ready to put everything away yet......

My daughter gave me this egg long ago, it is Mexican onyx, and I love the colors........that paper cup is actually a muffin paper cup, cute, huh??

I made this nest by felting yarn in a nest shape......
This tiny nest I made with yarn also and cut the little leaves from old dictionary pages........glued it on a wooden spool with paper and winter decor......the pics do not do it justice, can't seem to get any good ones!!!
Little cupid making his appearance!!

Little vintage velvet chick............

It is 5 degrees here, wind chill is minus 15..........and still snowing!!!  We've had more than 20 inches since last night, and higher in the drifts!!!   Ya gotta love winter here in New York!!!  Where ever you are, I hope you are safe and warm and above all.........be happy!!!

Thanks for visiting........

Oh Cleo, it is just beautiful!... I love seeing your natural wood hutch, and not painted white like so many are doing... all of your brown transferware and such look so pretty... those nests you made are adorable!... I especially love the teensie one!... and I love your gingham checked curtains I can see... you decorate the way I do... bringing out family treasures and heirlooms that all have special meanings... we have alot of brown in our home as well... love the soothing calmness it brings... truly a color of Nature... and your doilies make it all even more beautiful... Happy New Year to you!... hope you stay safe and warm from all that bad weather... xoxo Julie Marie

Happy New Year, Cleo! Oh, I love your little hutch and how you've dressed her! Your brown/white transferware is so pretty! I love using crochet too and your doilies and pieces are very nice. It must be so cold at your house and so much snow! My daughter and her family live in upstate New York and she told me how cold it was and the snow was falling down! Stay warm.

Oh Cleo, your hutch is really beautiful! I think all the brown accents are just perfect for this time of year...they have a warmness to them that I think we all need right about now! :)

Cleo,
Your hutch looks beautiful with all your treasures. I love browns too! I have some white thrown in to, but most of my furniture is brown. Love the berries you used, the nests, and of course your white goose! Just lovely as always! Happy New Year!

Brown is my very favorite color, so I love this! I especially adore that beautiful ladle - major "tableware envy" on that piece - lol!! Beautiful job arranging all of this!!

The hutch looks so pretty, and I really love the brown dishes. They're so soft and warm. I'm very intrigued by the birds nests you made... maybe I'll have to give that a try!

Hi Cleo! Good luck with putting up all of your Christmasing. I thought I went more simple with my decorating this year and it seemed to take me twice as long to put it all away! :)
