One thing I kept noticing was the use of old salt shakers for storing glitter. Now, I've seen that before but it didn't strike me as something I would do. Don't have any old clear shakers and being the frugal person I am.......ha, ha,......was not going to run out to try and buy some. All my glitter is in zip lock baggies or small containers and housed in a box. I use a spoon to sprinkle it on projects. BUT, lo and behold, the other day while cleaning........doesn't happen often........I came across some s&p shakers bought long ago, was gonna paint them with berries and holly to use during the holiday dinners. News Flash...........haven't had holiday company in years!!! And would never have so many guests that they would all be used!!
Aren't these so cute and they even have their very own holder!!! So, I checked it out to see how much they would hold.......
Not bad.....so I continued on my way to glitter Nirvana....
Even dug out my little perfume funnel......is that tooooooo cute???
Now, that is sweet......
Here they sit on the top shelf of my shoe rack next to my main work table. These are the things I use most often and are next to the table.......
Most supplies are kept in boxes or drawers, fabric and laces tend to fade, yellow or get dusty.......same for threads and other stuff......they get dusty and dry out. I've had to throw away threads that got dry and brittle from being out on a shelf for so long. Same for the jewelry supplies, all in little drawers. Love how so many of the gals display it all out in cute containers and muffin tins, but its not for me......it eventually gets dusty and messy. I know where everything lives so its easy to locate.
Haven't crafted, painted or sewed at all since Christmas and have neglected my blog..........hope to get back in the groove by Fall..........am really stuck right now. I love visiting all of you and do so every day, thanks for stopping by..........cleo

Your little s & p shakers are perfect for your glitter! They look so pretty like that. I'm sure you'll be back to crafting soon. Enjoy the Summer...we both know how short it is around here!
Hi Cleo! Oh, you're good! I love this idea and your little shakers are just perfect! Now what are you going to sprinkle with all this glittery stuff? ;) Thanks for popping in to see me.

Hi Cleo! Yep, we're closing on the house the end of August but are driving up to New York with a trailor and that takes about a week for us. Thanks for popping in and hope you've had a good weekend.
