In the Blue

It was in the 60's today which is unheard of in this north part of NYS in the month of March!!!  I know this weekend it will be back to normal.....that's okay because I have lots to do in the house before I can devote a lot of time to the out of doors!!!

It took me about a week to clean, wash, and re-arrange my prim cupboard in the foyer where I keep most of my flow blue......wanna see?????

The top shelf has some of the spatterware collection, flow blue pieces, a lusterware teacup and saucer, a flow blue gaudy welsh mustard pot with spoon and a gaudy welsh child's cup.....

The center shelf houses more flow blue in the Spinach or Brushstroke pattern, which is my very favorite!!!  Two English coffee pots, little gold creamer and sugar which my mom made while working in a local pottery during WWII when the men had gone off to war.........sweet vintage velvet chick, and on a cup hook, my ONLY piece of precious Canton china....

Also on this shelf is a pretty pink luster cup and saucer with a sprig design, and in the back a large transferware bowl, and a tiny milk glass shaker with a blue Delft design by Mt. Washington.....

At last, the bottom shelf......houses more of my fav pattern, most of these pieces are from Scotland and Holland......have brushstroke combined with sponged patterns.  There are two little saucers from a child's set and a gaudy Welsh pitcher and a trio of GW cup, saucer, and dessert dish.....

This cupboard brings me great joy each morning when I come down the stairs.....these pieces have been slowly collected over more than 40 years, hope you enjoyed seeing everything in blue!!!

What a gorgeous collection of blue eye candy!

I love seeng that chick peeking out from the drawer. I have to remember to do that with my hutch!

The weather yesterday was beautiful! Today should almost as warm, but we're expecting rain this afternoon.
