Christmas Buffet

All my seasonal decorating always begins with the buffet in the dining room.......it is huge and lets me be so creative and it sets the mood for the rest of the house.  Living in a tiny house, with no mantle and limited space is a challange!!!  This year in my quest for simplicity, and making life easier for these old bones of mine.....I am only putting out my favorite things that hold special meaning for me, and getting rid of all that extra fru fru......is that even a word???

I started with my favorite blue and white, which is a classic for all seasons!!!  And, I shopped my own stash in the basement and made no new purchases this year......also a quest for an austerity budget!!!

I started with my holly table runner and added the old tool caddy ....... filled it with greens, holly, cones, fall leaves and other natural elements for a rustic feel.   Out came my vintage willow bowl, and fillied it with vintage shiny brights that were my mother's and grandmother's......love those!!!  The tin I purchased in Boston on a wonderful trip about 20 years ago.........and the precious painting on wood of Santa and child done by a local artist is at least 25 yrs old!!!

Rust tin snowflake, is that cute or what???

Blogger is not cooperating with me today so am unable to put links in for the parties.......sorry......

It looks lovely! My home is small as well, but I'm so thankful for our cozy little place. Thank you for your sweet comment on my Christmas centerpiece. :)

HI Cleo! Oh, your buffet looks so pretty. Love your Blue Willow and I think I have that same bowl. Looks great with your ornies in it. Your tool box arrangement is beautiful too. Thanks for popping in to see me.

Cleo, how pretty your buffet is. You are so fortunate to have
some of those vintage sparkles from your mother and grandmother. Such treasure to have. Your blue willow is beautiful. It is so timeless.
