Cookies

What a silly goose I am!!!  Just found the pics I took at Christmas of the cookie tray!!!  These cookies are all gone now and were the results of 9 days of baking.......

This was just one platter of goodies.  Gone are the rugalach roll cookies, they are the first to disappear!!  Also not shown are the walnut biscotti which I put in a separate container for everyone to have at breakfast.

The ones with orange and yellow glitter sugar are Italian ricotta cookies.

Boxes and trays were packed for family and friends and delivered the week of Christmas.  This is the one thing I really enjoy doing and giving.

On another note.....this is the beautiful poinsettia plant given to me by my nephew John and niece Claire on my birthday in December.    It is the size of Kansas and only fits in my foyer!!  I might add, it is still alive and giving me great pleasure!!!

Oops, I see my broom by the front door......I use it to sweep the snow off the porch.......just keeping it real folks!!!

Thanks for stopping by...........

Those cookies look delish!... wish I had some right now with my coffee... and your poinsettia is gorgeous!... I received a small one for Christmas... it's lost all of it's leaves but the red petals remain... I'll try to save it!... xoxo Julie Marie

H Cleo, you left a comment on my blog LITTLE BRAGS (see below). I am shocked to hear there was a disgusting ad there. I am signed up with Google Ad sense and they rotate ads and I have no control of that part. However, I never did have anything inappropriate there before. Would you please be so kind and tell me what you saw? If there is anything inappropriate I will have to know and contact them. Thanks a million in advance and thanks for visiting Little BRags. Christine
Here is your comment: Why the disgusting ad on your side bar???

Hello and happy New Year! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Your cookies look delicious. I'm sure all the recipients really enjoyed them! Regarding BBC's Sherlock-
I’ve heard that you can learn the history of film by merely watching various Sherlock Holmes movies through time. Have you watched Basil Rathbone? I have seen Jeremy Brett, but I felt that Doctor Watson was undervalued in this series and that Jeremy looks quite like a vampire. I did however, like the humorous quote from The Six Napoleons, “This is no time for Humbugs, Doctor Watson!” I understand that many people like the Victorian setting for the Consulting Detective, but I appreciate the creators’ attempt (Moffat and Gatiss) to, in their words, “blow away the Victorian fog” and translate the stories for modern times. Happily, this BBC version ("the game is on!") has garnered new A.Conan Doyle fans and sales of the original stories have increased! New fans to enjoy what us Sherlock fans have been fond of for some time :)

I'm back Cleo to answer your question. I'm old...yes, that's a dresser, I didn't get it in the picture. It's a pretty piece and I had covered the stool with some coordinating fabric.

I have done the same thing! I've already started a folder for Christmas pics to share in 2014 that didn't make it in 2013. :)
